Wrong Love Countdown
Synopsis
Born into privilege and sheltered from hardship her whole life, Emily chooses to leave home alone to pursue independence. She is saved by Ethan after a car accident, and rescued by him once again after being drugged in an unexpected incident. The two fall in love and date for three years. Trusting him deeply, Emily allows Ethan to record countless intimate videos of them.
Days before their engagement, Emily overhears Ethan partying with his friends. He admits their entire relationship was only revenge against her brother Jasper, and plans to leak the private videos at their engagement ceremony to destroy her brother.
Heartbroken, Emily makes up her mind to leave forever. She plans to discard all their couple belongings and delete every video from Ethan’s phone. Before she can leave, she receives a message from Sophia, Ethan’s arranged family fiancée. During their meeting, Emily learns Ethan and Sophia intend to announce their marriage right after Emily’s engagement. Fully convinced Ethan never loved her and only used her for revenge, Emily falls into despair.
Ethan rushes to the scene, briefly explains the situation, takes her to the car, and insists he will never marry Sophia, claiming he only obeyed his family’s pressure. But Emily no longer believes a single word from him. As they are about to leave, a truck crashes into them.
When Emily wakes up, she sees Ethan injured while protecting her. She feels helpless, wondering why fate makes him save her again just as she is ready to walk away. However, she soon receives a video message from Sophia, revealing the car crash was entirely staged by Ethan—to convince Sophia his relationship with Emily was nothing but a show.
Completely shattered, Emily unlocks Ethan’s phone while he sleeps, deletes all private videos without a trace, packs her luggage, and leaves for good.
On the proposal stage, where Ethan and his friends and fiancée are still plotting to humiliate Emily, he suddenly receives her breakup message. Devastated at last, Ethan realizes he has long truly fallen in love with her.
