The Countdown
Synopsis
Adrian Green, an Ivy League PhD and Silicon Valley tech rising star, livestreams an armed bank robbery to hundreds of thousands of followers. Strangely, instead of fleeing, he calls the police himself, begging to be arrested.
The bank suffers little actual damage, only demanding compensation and an apology. Yet he refuses any settlement, determined to be detained. His fiancée offers to pay; his mentor arrives with a CEO appointment to lure him back to a bright future. His elderly parents, his father suffering from heart disease, plead desperately. Still Adrian insists: “I will go to prison.”
A female detective digs deep and uncovers the truth behind this bizarre act. His crazy move hides an unspeakable secret — a life rescue timed down to the second.
